Getting started with PricePanda (step-by-step instructions)

Welcome to the PricePanda app! This guide will walk you through the steps to enable and customize the price-per-unit feature for your products. Let’s get started!

Activate PricePanda

Download the PricePanda app from the Shopify App Store.
Go to your Shopify store.
In the left-hand menu, click on Apps.
Select PricePanda from the list of installed apps.
In the top-right corner, click on Settings.
Click on Enable to activate the app.

This will redirect you to Shopify’s App Embeds page.
Locate PricePanda - Price Per Unit and use the toggle switch to turn it on.

Your app is now active and ready to use.

Customize Your Settings

Now that PricePanda is activated, it’s time to customize the settings:

Choose your Unit of Measurement: Select how your products will be measured (e.g., pieces, grams, kilograms, square feet).
Set your Currency: Choose your store’s currency (e.g., USD, EUR).
Define the Number of Decimals: Select the number of decimals shown in the unit price for accuracy.
Set the Display Format: Select a format from the default options, or
Click on Create your custom price unit format to customize how the unit price appears on your product pages.
If you want these settings to apply to all products, check Default Settings and click Save.

Step 3: Add Products

Now it’s time to add products to display their unit price:

From the Home Page, you can add products in two ways:

Individual: Select a product from your catalog and click Add.

Bulk upload: Use a CSV file to upload multiple products.

If a product has variants, specify the unit quantities for each variant.
If you need to adjust the unit of measurement or price display for a specific product, you can just uncheck Default Settings and make adjustments as needed.
Once you’ve made any necessary changes, click Update.

Your product is now ready with the price per unit displayed!

Step 4: Manage Your Products

Managing your products is easy with PricePanda:

From the app's Home Page, view all your listed products.
Click on any product title to view or edit its details.
Enable or disable products as needed to control how pricing is displayed in your store.

That's It!

Your Shopify store is now set up with PricePanda, and your customers will be able to see the price per unit alongside the product price.
