Setup Individual Products

Once you've tailored the settings to match your store’s needs, PricePanda enables you to easily add your products in two ways: individually or through a bulk upload. This knowledge article walks you through the step-by-step instructions to set up price-per-unit for an individual product.

  1. Head over to your PricePanda dashboard and click on the Select Product button.

  1. The window will display all the products in your Shopify store. You can search for the desired product. Once you select a product, click on the Add button.

Please note: Using this process, you can add the price-per-unit for one product at a time.

  1. Enter the value for the Unit of measurement. If you want the same value to appear for all the product variants, click the checkbox.

  1. Define the Number of Units for each product variant. This represents the number of units included in the price calculation. Click on the input field and enter the appropriate value. This setting is crucial as it directly impacts the accuracy of your product pricing. For example, if the Wax is sold as an individual package; you would enter 1. However, if Wax were sold in packs of 12, you would enter 12 to ensure accurate pricing.

Please note: If your product has variants, you can update the same for each variant.

  1. Next, set the Unit of Measurement based on how you sell your product. Typically, this would be defined as a “Unit”; however, based on your product, you can add a Bundle, Sheet, Yard, Piece, Bottle, etc.

  1. The final step is to select the Price Format Options that determine how your price per unit is displayed. By default, the format follows the structure currency price per unit and unit of measurement. For example, if the price per notebook is $2.50, it will appear as "$2.50 per notebook" in the store.

Please note: If you’d like to customize this format to suit your brand better, simply uncheck the default settings and choose your preferred format from the options available.

  1. Click on the Update button. Then, refresh your Shopify store page to view the price per unit display for that particular product.

Once you set up the products, the list will be available on your dashboard. You can always update the settings for each product if needed.

And there you have it! You’ve successfully set up the price per unit for your product using the Price Panda app. Thank you for choosing Price Panda, and happy selling!
